The World of Cava, Prosecco, Champagne & more

Everyone loves a #bubblybar! There’s nothing better than hearing that “Pop” with the fizz that follows next! As the bubbles dance on throughout your glass, the beauty of bubbles is how many different styles can be made, but they are mostly all done so in the same traditional method.

Sparkling wine has been made since the early 1500-1600s, depending on which story you believe. “Champagne” is the most common reference, though calling a sparkling wine “Champagne,” it must be from the specific region in France and only made of this region to claim the name. Over the years, wine makers from all different countries and regions continue the traditional method with their own styles and grape varieties blended in.

During the month of January, we’re kicking off the new decade with all things that sparkle. Cava, Prosecco, Champagne, and more! We’ll sip and savor pouring each of the varieties and relaying our findings back!

Follow @pour_atlanta and keep a close eye on the blog to sip & share your favorites!

Cheers! #poppingbottles
