Hello, World! My name is Andrea Kephart and many call me “Andi!”
Growing up in Atlanta, I recently moved back to expand my career in communications with team engagement & events after spending five years in Virginia pursuing an opportunity with my dream job working for a winery.
Though you may be surprised to hear Virginia & wine (I was, too!), I decided to take a chance and what an experience it was! Learning about Virginia & regional wine broadened my interest in a state I only knew because of its founding history & connection to D.C. My adventure also widened my consideration to the different flavors, complexities, terroir & purposes wine may have and expanded my palate to bring in so many more wines & new sipping stories to share!
My background in hospitality stems from my official “first job” working with Caribou Coffee. The connections I shared & joy we experienced when serving someone a cup of coffee is one I cannot live without. A passion for service, I graduated from Florida State University’s College of Business & the Dedman School of Hospitality. With a top program and industry relations, it was an education I always say we got more than our money’s worth! Traveling with the program & meeting experts at the best brands, my heart was its fullest when I worked for the Wine & Culture class and we visited Napa & Sonoma for my senior spring break!
Staying on the grounds of major wineries and speaking with their owners, winemakers, tasting staff & executive chefs, I knew I had to find a way to return. Though I haven’t fully made it back to California, my passion for wine remains, and I’m so excited to share with you through my new blog and tasting platform!
Something I’ve wanted to start for years, Pour Atlanta is my first step to a potential dream of opening my own coffee & wine shop one day! Wine is an incredible tasting experience bringing everyone together! I believe there is a story behind every pour and could not be more delighted to join this community and share some of my favorite things!
